Meat Eater Dreamer

For this session, I will explain how to enjoy preparing and cooking a savory flank steak for the whole family to enjoy,

1.  Make sure that when you get you flank steak from your preferred market place, the steak is in good condition, has not expired, or thawed out completely.
2. When cleaning the meat, cut off the excess fat that lingers on the edge of the steak and cut the steak into smaller pieces while submerged in a pot full of water in order to drain the blood.

3.  Prepare your assortment of spices and sauces to marinate the meat.  A general list would consist of soy sauce, minced onions, minced garlic, sugar, and sesame seed oil.  Mix all these ingredients into a plastic bag and place the pieces of flank steak to marinate overnight.
4.  Once your steak is marinated and ready, preheat your pan with a little olive oil or preheat your grill at 300 degrees F. for 5 minutes.  After you are done preheating, cook the steak on your heated surface and make sure to turn the pieces on every side once every 3 to 5 minutes on medium to low heat for a total of 15 to 20 minutes.
5.  If you like your meat medium rare to well done, use a knife to cut into your pieces and check to see if the meat looks cooked on the inside.  There shouldn't be any pink color in the meat if you cook it longer for 3 minutes.
6.  Once your steak is finished, you may enjoy it along with a variety of other side dishes such as pasta, rice, or beans with mixed vegetables.

Comments

  1. I really love steak, it really an amazing food that the whole family can enjoy as I surely do love eating steak anytime I get to. The blog was well detailed and explaining on how I can make steak myself. Every detail did help understand on what and how I should do things. Only thing I will recommend is somewhere in the title or in bold letters saying how long it will take to cook the steak since you did include a part in your blog that stated "place the pieces of flank steak to marinate overnight." which can probably upset some people who would like to make it that day. I still loved the blog and I learned a lot from it!
