Tired of this happening to you? Want to know the basics of Fortnite to win a game? Well here are some tips to help you get ready for a win!
What is Fortnite?
Fortnite is a video game described as a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA). Your character parachutes to an island where you can land anywhere of your choice. On the same island are 99 other players (100 players in total). The goal of the game is to find weapons and wipe out the other players to be the last one standing.

As time passes in the game, a storm will come (purple area). If your character is in this storm it will slowly drain your health. The white outlined circle indicates where the storm will shrink around so players are forced to fight one another.
Step 1: Knowing your guns
The guns in Fortnite have certain rarities on them. The higher rarity on the gun does more damage than others. The level of rarities are defined by a color shown on each of the guns.

Wood: Received from trees, low health, good for spamming against machine guns.
Stone: Received from rocks, medium health, solid defense for short to tall bases.
Metal: Received from cars, high health, good for any scenario, but hard to find large quantities.
Step 3: Choosing a place to land
There is no bad place to land in fortnite, but a place that people do not really pay attention to is dusty depot.
It is at the center of the map so when the circle closes, it will be easier to stay inside of the circle.
However, there are no bad are to land in fortnite so you are free to choose where to land.
Note: Landing in heavily populated areas is a great way to get used to gun fights in the game so I recommend landing at tilted towers a few games.
Step 4: Success
Many will find themselves getting better simply by playing the game. These are the basics of winning a game of fornite. The biggest thing is to be patient, always play smart and remember these guidelines.

I like that you chose this as a topic it's really cool. The topic intrigued me since i'm awful at playing fortnite the fact that you chose an image of second place is hilarious, because I honestly haven't even made top 30!! On a serious note, this how-to is really informative, i think that you explaining the fundamentals of the game from guns value, to the building materials will help many understand the game and its functionalities.
ReplyDeleteMy relationship to this topic is unfamiliar since I've never played Fortnite. I have no idea what the game is about. If I had not read this blog, I would still think the cover of this game looks like a game for kids. After reading this blog though, I now know or could figure out what I would have to do in the game. I found this blog being useful as in describing what kind of things I would see and experience if I played the game. I would recommend expanding a little more on how it is that we could win the game since so far you described what we will see in the game..
ReplyDeleteHmm. There seems to be a lot missing from this blog. And for all the promises that it will help us win, it really only describes the basic elements of the game. For example, you point out the different gun types, but don't give us a hint as to how crucial a good gun is to being the one out of one-hundred to win the game.

What is Fortnite?
This section does not explain basic gameplay, just the basic set up. If I hadn't read three other blogs on this topic, I wouldn't know what kind of game it is.
Building
When you say that you can use wood to spam against machine guns, what does that mean? As somebody who has never played the game, I am imagining that a player continually builds a wall in front of them while somebody shoots a machine gun at them? I'm probably wrong?
Choosing a place to land
Your description of the depot requires us to remember more details about the circle than is natural to the same brain who was just learning about a bunch of other stuff to pick up. I still don't get it. Also, you say that there is no bad place to land. Again, we have no idea how important a landing point is to winning the game.
On the positive side, I think you have chosen some nice and compelling graphics. I hope that really is a screenshot of you winning the game! The basic skelaton of the blog seems pretty logical. Too bad there is nothing inside!
